The float switch detects the liquid level in a tank and can activate a pump, indicator, alarm, or other device. When the float ball rises or falls with the liquid to the switch’s level, the magnet inside the float ball triggers the reed switch to turn ON. When the float ball moves away, the reed switch turns OFF.
This switch is simple and easy to use and doesn’t require power or complex circuits. It’s small and durable and can be used with various liquids, pressures, and temperatures, making it popular in industries like shipbuilding, power generation, petrochemicals, food processing, water treatment, dyeing, and hydraulic machinery.
The sensor has a float with magnetic material inside a sealed non-magnetic pipe. As the float moves with the liquid, it interacts with the reed switch, causing it to open or close for level control.
