Description

Pick your inductance. Build your filter.

Seven ready-to-use values from 10 µH to 10 mH in compact radial drum-core inductors with a black sleeve. Plug the two leads into a breadboard or solder them straight to your PCB.

  • 10 µH to 10 mH
  • 4×6 and 6×8 mm bodies
  • 2-pin radial leads

10 µH1 mH10 mH

See what each value does in a filter

Pair any of these inductors with a capacitor and you have an LC filter. Choose a value to see its cutoff frequency with a 10 µF capacitor.

What you can build

Small inductors, big range of uses.

Clean power for sensors

Add an LC filter on the supply of an Arduino sensor or ADC input to cut switching noise.

EMI and RF choke

Block high-frequency noise on a power or signal line.

Small boost converter

Build low-current step-up circuits for LEDs and small loads.

Joule thief LED driver

Run an LED from a nearly flat battery.

LC tank and radio experiments

Combine with a variable capacitor to tune a resonant circuit.

Teaching and lab kits

A simple, safe way to show how inductors and filters behave.

Quick LC filter calculator

An inductor and a capacitor together let low frequencies through and block high ones. The cutoff frequency is:

f = 1 / (2π × √(L × C))

For example, a 100 µH inductor with a 10 µF capacitor cuts off at about 5 kHz. Use L in henries and C in farads. Lower inductance or capacitance moves the cutoff higher.

Check your current: these inductors use thin wire, so they suit low-current circuits. For high-current power supplies, such as 2 to 3A buck modules, use a larger power inductor. Tell us your circuit and we will help you pick the right one.

Questions buyers ask

Does it work with Arduino?

An inductor is a passive part, so it does not connect to an Arduino pin by itself and needs no code. It is used in the circuits around your Arduino, such as power filters and small converter circuits.

Which value should I choose?

Smaller values such as 10 µH to 100 µH suit higher-frequency circuits like small switching converters. Larger values such as 680 µH to 10 mH suit low-frequency filters and chokes. If you are not sure, tell us what you are building.

What does 4*6-100UH-0.12MM mean?

It describes the body size (4 mm by 6 mm), the inductance (100 µH) and the thickness of the copper wire inside (0.12 mm).

What is the current rating?

It depends on the variant. Thinner wire means a lower current limit, so keep these for low-current circuits. Message us with your voltage and current, and we will confirm the best fit.

Does the inductor have polarity?

No. Either lead can go to either side of the circuit.

Can I buy several different values?

Yes. Select the variants you need on the product page and add them to your cart.

Do you deliver outside Dhaka?
