How It Works / কীভাবে কাজ করে
The joystick contains two internal potentiometers. When you move the joystick left-right or up-down, the resistance changes and the module gives different analog voltage values from VRx and VRy pins. Arduino or another controller reads these values using analog input pins.
Joystick press করলে SW pin button input হিসেবে কাজ করে।
Joystick-এর ভিতরে দুইটি potentiometer থাকে। Joystick left-right বা up-down move করলে analog voltage change হয়। Arduino সেই value read করে direction বা speed control করতে পারে।
Basic Arduino Connection
For Arduino UNO:
• GND → Arduino GND
• +5V → Arduino 5V
• VRx → Arduino A0
• VRy → Arduino A1
• SW → Arduino D2
For ESP32:
• GND → ESP32 GND
• VCC → ESP32 3.3V recommended
• VRx → ESP32 analog pin
• VRy → ESP32 analog pin
• SW → ESP32 digital pin
Arduino Example Code
Use this code to test X-axis, Y-axis and button press.
#define VRX_PIN A0
#define VRY_PIN A1
#define SW_PIN 2
void setup() {
Serial.begin(9600);
pinMode(SW_PIN, INPUT_PULLUP);
}
void loop() {
int xValue = analogRead(VRX_PIN);
int yValue = analogRead(VRY_PIN);
int buttonState = digitalRead(SW_PIN);
Serial.print("X: ");
Serial.print(xValue);
Serial.print(" | Y: ");
Serial.print(yValue);
Serial.print(" | Button: ");
if (buttonState == LOW) {
Serial.println("Pressed");
} else {
Serial.println("Released");
}
delay(200);
}Example Output Meaning
For Arduino UNO:
• X-axis value near 0 means one side direction
• X-axis value near 1023 means opposite side direction
• Y-axis value near 0 means one side direction
• Y-axis value near 1023 means opposite side direction
• Center position is usually around 512
• Button shows Pressed when joystick knob is pushed down
Values may vary slightly depending on module batch and joystick center position.
Why Choose This Joystick Module?
The PS2 Joystick Module is one of the easiest ways to add manual control to Arduino and robotics projects. It provides smooth analog control for direction, speed, servo angle, menu selection and movement input.
এই joystick module ব্যবহার করে robot car control, servo movement, robotic arm control এবং menu navigation খুব সহজে করা যায়। Beginner থেকে advanced robotics project—সব জায়গায় এটি practical একটি input module।
Important Notes / গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নোট
⚠️ For Arduino UNO, 5V supply can be used.
⚠️ For ESP32, 3.3V supply is recommended to keep analog output safe.
⚠️ Joystick center value may not be exactly 512; calibration may be needed.
⚠️ SW button usually works with pull-up input.
⚠️ Do not apply excessive force to the joystick knob.
⚠️ Keep the module away from moisture and dust.
⚠️ Product PCB color, pin marking and joystick cap design may vary depending on stock batch.
